TONY "JAP" MEMBRINO, colorful, controversial and popular. He was all of them during his racing career. Starting at the Old West Haven Speedway, Tony went on to become one of the all-time great Modified Drivers of the late 50's, 60's and early 70's and a threat to win any race entered. Tony had many wins at West Haven, Plainville Stadium and the Riverside Park Speedway. Tony probably had the most success in the Walt Kuryn 00 Coach in the late 60's and early 70's, but won many features in many other cars.
